Hi there! You may have seen some teasers of our newly refreshed gift shop at the gallery. We are so excited to show you what we’ve created!
We built the waterfall counter by following these instructions provided by Vintage Revivals. We found the concept & tutorial on Pinterest, and were pleased with how detailed the post was…we even mitered wood for the first time (without losing any digits)! White ledge shelving in 2 lengths from IKEA allows us to display mini vignettes along one wall. Our wall o’shelves mirrors our WALLPAPER WALL that we are very proud of. Installing patterned wallpaper is not for the faint of heart! We chose to hang Thibaut wallpaper in the “Merrill” pattern – we love the neutral yet interesting backdrop it provides our new system for works on paper. We didn’t want anything too bold since the room is fairly small….what do you think about our selection?
Our solution for shopping works on paper is simply metal piping that we spray painted white, and natural wooden trouser hangers. Now shopping for original art is as easy as putting on your pants in the morning!
We’d also like to introduce you to Frank, our fiddle leaf fig tree, who is thriving in his new home here at the gallery. We picked him up at our trusty Home Depot garden center. We are still searching for the perfect basketweave container for him….let us know if you have any sources!
We have something in the works for the floors….any guesses? If you have any questions about our process, we would love to share more behind-the-scenes details with you! Just shoot us an email at [email protected]
Until next time!
