get to know
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Tenley Beazley also spent much of her childhood in the mountains of Colorado where she developed a deep appreciation of the wildflowers that paint the mountains in the summers. Tenley studied Art History at Denison University and Richmond College while taking many fine art classes and workshops. After graduating from Northwestern University with a Master’s in Broadcast Journalism, Tenley continued her explorations of art materials and techniques while working in the fields of art/design and then advertising/communications.
Tenley finds inspiration for her art in individual elements of nature and often uses the actual element as a tool in the process. The element is broken down, only to be re-built in the art. In the process, she hopes to bring attention to the details of nature that are so often missed while challenging the eye as to what is representational and what is contrived.
