“I am enamored with the colors of nature. My palette, at times, could reflect the colors of a season or just the colors I have observed on a certain day, at a certain time. These observations are what inspire me to paint. The colors I choose to capture these visual experiences are combined and arranged using line, space, balance and focal point to draw in the viewer. These visual components guide me in my process to create a sense of unity or harmony in my work. Unity creates a sense of order and when there is order, there is a feeling of peace.”
