Ally Sheppard

Having earned her BA from Vanderbilt University in Art History and an MFA from the Smithsonian-Corcoran Graduate Program in Decorative Arts, Ally Sheppard is a Nashville, TN native. With career experience in museum curation and with auction houses, she has always had a passion for fine craftsmanship and good design. She’s dedicated herself to painting to further her creative expression and is influenced by the passions developed during her career.

Her work exhibits an instinctive understanding of color, balance, texture and composition. She creates abstract works on canvas and paper that are reminiscent of landscapes, waterscapes, the human figure or purely abstract compositions.
