From a young age, Gregg was enchanted by beautiful works created by her artist mother, and she developed a deep appreciation for art forms of different genres, filled with vivid color, rich texture and interesting shapes. She pursued business studies in college, receiving her MBA in marketing, while continuing to develop her cultivated eye for recognizing artistic talent.

When Gregg moved to Atlanta in 1996, she recognized there was a void in the market for affordable, original contemporary art, so she set out to discover talented, emerging artists and foster their careers by introducing them to collectors at in-home pop-up shows throughout the Southeast. She married her passion for art with her background in business and began sourcing and representing artists from all over the country. Her mission was to connect collectors with art they would love and cherish for years to come and present it in a gracious and non-intimidating setting that encouraged guests to explore and discover.

The success of these shows led Gregg to open her first brick and mortar gallery in Atlanta in 2006. Now, more than 25 years later since representing artists, Gregg Irby Gallery is recognized across the country as a leading contemporary fine art destination and exceptional source for curating highly sought after collections of original paintings and works on paper from established and emerging artists.
